When we drove in to Siracusa, we were caught in a monster traffic jam. Why? Because of the manifestazione. After checking in to our hotel, we rushed to see what was happening: Farmers had brought their tractors to ask for an end to neglect by the commune and country, for more veterinarians, and more. But we got there at the time for the daily chisura so it was a dull gathering around the handsome fountain in Archimedes piazza.
